PROMO MODE
Promo begins as Pimp D is seen in a practice ring at his personal gym and training ground in Houma, Louisiana, the building containing the former headquarters of the National Wrestling Federation.
Pimp D: Evenin', folks. For those who don't know me, I suggest you crawl out from under the rock you've been under for the last 15 years. My name is Pimp D. In the ring I'm standing in, I have trained quite the number of stars in this business. Behind me is where my corporate headquarters used to be for NWF. I'm not really here to say "Oh, look at me. I got money, but there's something missing." I just happen to love this business...so much so that when my two fed homes closed 11 years ago, I opened my own company to give those guys a fair place to work where politics didn't run the show. That was the vision, and that's really why I'm introducing myself to you from here...outside of the fact that I'm actively training to make my NGSE debut.
I've enjoyed a great deal of success in this business, but more than anything in life, I enjoy a challenge...more specifically a new challenge. That's why I'm here. I'm not here to plug my new company. I'm not really here to make friends or enemies. If it happens, so be it. C'est la vie. I'm here to add to my repertoire and my history and to share my talent with all of these fans this company has.
It's always an interesting enigma coming into a company you're not completely familiar with. I've done it lots of times in my career. That's always one of the more fun parts of the challenge of this game. In this case, I seem to have a bit of history with a few guys on this roster, most notably current Heavyweight Champion Carmine Reaper. Carmine ran the brief circle of OCW with me, and we've crossed paths. Next on the list would be his number one contender, Tim Stone. Hi, Timmy. Remember me? Speaking of brief runs, he and I crossed paths in NGW. Well, not quite. While I was involved in every World title match in that company's brief history, Tim well...I'm not here to dog anybody out. Read between the lines, people.
Last, but certainly not least, Rob Smith. Rob and I are practically walking in the door together. We were signed within hours of each other. Rob, for those of you who don't know, made a name for himself in my company, NWF. I always thought in NWF Rob could be so much more. He didn't fail to prove my point in his very short run in NGW, a place where we stepped into the ring with each other for the very first time. I'll let ol' Smitty let y'all know how that one turned out.
Anyway, to make this short and sweet, I'm not looking to bottom feed in this company. Now, don't get it twisted. Even though my history speaks for itself, I'm not a diva. I'm not someone that thinks he should be entitled because of what I've done for this business. It's quite the opposite. I LOVE to prove my worth and show everyone just why I've pretty much lost count of how many titles I've won. What I am here for is to prove that I am the best. I'm not really looking to prove that I still have it. Hell, I'm in my prime. I'm 32, and even though I've been in this business since 2001, I had quite a bit of time out of the ring to keep myself in tip top shape. I always kept myself in ring shape, even when running companies to success. That success that I made myself from coming from the streets of New Orleans is what I intend to bring to NGSE. So, get ready folks. You in for a treat. HOLLA!
Screen fades to black.
