OOC: It's not a lengthy piece, just a lil somethin' somethin' to sell the after effect of Bloodlines III.
Following his successful Title win over Deacon Thomas and Austin Averell, B. Epic found himself backstage, taking in the embraces and warm congratulations for the huge win. He shook hands with the talents, fans on that VIP package, the ring crew and agents, but after all of that, there was truly only one person he wanted to see. It took a few minutes, but eventually he made his way to the VIP box, and there she sat in all of that glow - the sweetheart of his life - THE one and only, former Heavyweight Champion, Miss Carmen Cambridge. His eyes lit up at the sight of her, as much as her hair lit up the room they were in. He took a step inside, calling to her, as he slapped the faceplate of the Rising Championship more out of excitement than anything.
B. Epic: Yooo Tee, ya boy got it done! Ain’t nothin’ betta than comin’ up to see yo face with a twelve pound hunk of bling over my shoulder!
He smirked. The excitement was still so fresh in his mind.
B. Epic: I told ya we was gon go out to celebrate alla this though. We gots a lotta catchin’ up on lost time to do, lotta celebration to do! And, y’know ol B is happy you sent that text, on the real. I ain’t really feel a hundred on tryna close things off the way we met last week. Just...too many years ‘tween us. Y’know?
Cambridge rose from her seat in VIP after taking in everything her childhood sweetheart had said. The excitement was clearly evident in B.Epic, but it was mimicked in the eyes of the former DARC Champion. She began walking towards the new Alpha Rising champion. Her dress fit every curve on her body and was the same bright color as her hair.
Carmen Cambridge: We can talk about that later, look at you!
Carmen places her hand on the face plate of the Championship. Her fingers cascade over the gold as a smile crosses her face.
Carmen Cambridge: You did. You did ALL of it. I was sittin’ here in this VIP sippin’ on that gatorade while I saw people on twitter drinkin’ that haterade boo. They said you couldn’t do it. They said Mr. Made in Japan should have stayed in Japan, and you said screw that, I GOTS THIS!
Cambridge’s voice is passionate as her fingers remain on her friend’s Championship.
Carmen Cambridge: As if you didn’t figure it out already, I’m proud of you. You took a big risk by leaving Japan and returning to the States for a developmental deal of all things. I can relate. It was just a year ago when I came home from Mexico with a lot of talent, but a lot to prove and I made things happen. You just did the same. You killed it out there, B.
B. Epic: ‘Course that ain’t the only reason I came back. Truth is Ol B’s deal was comin’ up, and I hada get some work done on my knee. But bein’ able to see you again was a treat. Really didn’t expect to get a call-back as soon as I did, but I knew I had to go. Still ain’t had this work done yet. Can you blame me though? I ain’t tryna get no time off, ya man ain’t tryna lose his spot. I’m THE face of the Alpha brand! People see Alpha, and they associate Ol B with it! I’m so happy I was able to share tonight wit you boo. Truly mean the world to me.
B steps in close, staring down into Carmen’s eyes. He flashes a big ol grin as he slowly wraps his arms around her small frame in a warm, tight hug.
B. Epic: Thanks boo. Ol B miss you so much. You know I ain’t tryna get all mushy on you...but the heart ain’t lie though.
B steps back, turning a side-eye towards the door.
B. Epic: “Where we goin now? You know it’s my treat, I mean what’chu in the mood for girl? Bar-be-que? You want some ri --”
Ol B stops himself mid-sentence, not wanting to bring up the tail end of her in-ring career.
B.Epic: “You in a seafood mood? Get that grub on some swordfish? Or you just wanna keep it simple like a Big Mac™ and fries?! Ol B know you ain’t lookin’ for no cheap burger though...nah, the Gucci Girl gots that expensive taste!”
Carmen Cambridge: “Well the last time we met, it was in my restaurant and you pretty much told me that you had moved on from our past, so...I’m not tryna have a repeat. I was hoping you would invite me back to your room and maybe whip something up in that kitchen?”
She brushes a few strands of her bright hair out of her face.
Carmen Cambridge: “You always could hold your own in the kitchen, what do you say?”
B. Epic: Oh yea?! You always did like my cookin’, even if I ain’t think it was all that great. But if you like it? Then you gon get it. Ol B ain’t lettin’ you down again, no way!
As for the past. I thought I hada put it behind us, what with our lives in different places and all. But...I ain’t really want to, Tee. You knows how special you is to me...your text showed that. And I’m glad for it. Now, c’mon back to my place. I’ma whip you up somethin’ special alright!
B playfully winks at her, offering her his hand as they leave the VIP suite.
