PART ONE
on camera
As the scene came to life, cameras were zoomed in on a television that was showing off the final moments of the Five Lakes Championship match. Right now, Shelley is seen hitting Ash with a dropkick that has her going back into the corner. From there, the champion goes to the outside and climbs to the top turnbuckle before making a grab for Ashleigh's head. As Shelley tries for a Tornado DDT, Ash pushes her off and shakes the cobwebs as Shelley crashes to the mat. It isn't long after that, that Ash gets a hold of Shelley and hoists her into the air only to use the champion's own move against her as she drop her to the mat.

One Sundown (Samoan Driver) and a pinfall later, we have a new champion.
DING DING DING!!
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Just as cameras begin to pan out, we see that the squeal of delight came from Candy as Ashliegh is awarded the championship belt.
"Pretty great stuff, huh? I still get pretty excited every time I see it."
Of course, she was probably the only one. Well, expect for Gavin Grimes. But anyways, back to what's important here. As Candy watched her friend with the Five Lakes Championship, she added thoughtfully.
"I'm going to have my moment. Just like my Ashies did!"
With that thought in mind, Candy stood up from her seat and headed out of her hotel room to handle a bit of business. She had another important message to deliver to the Marquee Champion as time kicked closer and closer to City of Sin.

PART TWO
on camera
Later on that afternoon, we find ourselves inside the Thomas and Mack Center with Candy standing in the middle of the ring. In the background, you can hear the ring crew working on the stage around her but none of that was visible. Just Candy dressed in her street clothes and her hands on her hips as she looked into the camera. Candy appeared to be completely focused as she began to speak.
"In just about 24 hours, Avery Miles and I will step into this very ring and do battle. Much like last time, it's sure to be quite the spectacle. We both want what we want and will do whatever we can to come out ahead. I'm looking forward to the challenge of it all. I know Avery is going to take me to my limit. So if I'm going to win, I'm going to have to dig down deep and make it happen for myself. It's not like Avery's just going to hand over the championship. And why should he? It's not like I even want him to. If I want it, I'm just gonna have to take it from him against his will. I have no problem fighting him every step of the way if that's what it takes. I'm simply ready for what lies ahead of me at City of Sin."
Candy nodded.
"Now, I listened to Avery's latest promo and after hearing it...I just had one question. Won't I?"
Candy questioned as she tilted her head to the side.
"For someone who is pretty confident in his abilities, Avery sure can't seem to make up his mind on what's really going to happen tomorrow night. One minute he's claiming he's NOT guaranteeing a win over me and then the next he's claiming I don't have what it takes to get the job done. So if I don't have what it takes, isn't he guaranteeing he's going to get the win over me? Yeah, that's what I thought!", she sighed shaking her head, "I expected more from you, Avery."
Her tone was filled with disappointment.
"Of course, while all this is going on...you continue to fill lay on the pleasantries. Telling me what a great girl I am, what kind of bright future I have ahead of me, and the such. As if I might not pick up on the negative things you had to say. But it's quite obvious you don't think too highly of me and my abilities."
Upon those words, a frown started to form over Candy's features.
"No worries though, Avery. I'm not going to take it personal. I know you're just doing what you can to keep the Marquee Championship around your waist. What you think is best. I get it. I do.", she quickly shrugged off her foul mood as she walked closer to the ropes, "But if you can't decide what route you want to take on this, how do you expect anyone else to buy into what you're selling? You of all people should know it doesn't work that way."
Candy claimed in all seriousness as she eyed the camera.
"But come tomorrow night, I am going to show you just how ready I am to lead the Marquee division to it's greatness. Unlike you, I am going to prove that I don't need chance after chance after chance to reach my goal. Sure, you beat me last time. But once that bell rings, you are going to see for yourself just how much I've learned from my mistakes and at what lengths I'm willing to go to get a different outcome. I'm going to prove that all the work..all the effort..all the time I put into making this return wasn't for nothing. Everything I went through. Everything I've done. It's all about to pay off. You may not think I have it in me. You may not believe this is my time. But I do. And that's all that matters. To make something happen, you got to believe in yourself. Just because you say something, Avery...doesn't make it true. I know I can do this. Not next week, not next week, but now. At City of Sin."
Candy stepped up on the bottom rope as she rested her elbows over the top.
"That's where your championship reign is going to come to an end.", she spoke with confidence as she stared right into the camera, "I know you have high hopes for remaining the champion. I still don't blame you one bit for wanting to give the gold some stability. I want what's best for the division, too. But the division can't have what's best for it without one more title change. The Marquee Championship needs to belong to me. And in one more day, it will."
Candy nodded her head once more.
"Nothing against you, Avery. You've done great. But everyone needs a little sweetness in their lives and who better to give it to them than me? It's about time the Marquee division was left on a permanent Sugar High!"
Candy giggled and winked as she stepped down to the mat and moved back to the center of the ring.
"I hope you don't take too much offense to what I said here today. I'd like nothing more than for you, Taylor, and I to become the very best of friends. But when we step into the ring tomorrow night, I'm not seeing you as a friend. I'm seeing you as my opponent. An opponent I must go through to get my moment. A moment, that one way or another, is going to be MINE.", she pointed to herself, "Whatever advantage you think you have with the one win over me, you might as well forget it now. Because it's not going to become a factor in the outcome. It's not going to stop me from doing what I came back for. It won't prevent me from getting my hands on the Marquee Championship."
Candy paused slightly.
"Rest assured, the last thing you are going to remember from City of Sin...is me standing over you with my arm raised in victory a moment before I'm declared the NEW Marquee Champion!"
To demonstrate, Candy raised her arm up in the air for all to see. Of course, there was no Marquee Championship. But just use your imagination...for now. Cameras faded to black on that image.
