Off Camera
Shortly after the latest episode of Vendetta went off the air, Candy was seen walking out of the Viejas Arena. The moment she cleared the doors, Candy heard a whistle coming from not too far off in the parking lot. As she looked around, it didn't take her long to locate Michael Strong, or as she likes to call him Mikey, leaning up against the side of their rental car. A smile crossed her features as she crossed the parking lot towards him. Once she was standing in front of him, Mikey wrapped her up in one of those bear hugs Candy liked. She giggled and gave him a little kiss before he released her.
"So did you enjoy the show?"
"Sure did. I got to see my little lady wrestle."
Candy beamed at his answer.
"Yeah, it was pretty great being back in the ring."
"I could tell how much you enjoyed it."
Candy nodded, "There's nothing quite like it. You'll see what I'm talking about once you get in there."
"That might be sooner than you think."
"Oh?"
"I was backstage talking to Devlin Scott earlier. There's some paperwork to be done but I should be signing my NGW Contract within the next day or two."
A squeal of delight came from Candy.
"Oh Mikey, I was hoping for that. That's sooooooooo awesome!"
"Thought you might like it."
"I doooooooooo."
"I'm glad.", he winked at her, "Besides, someone's gotta keep an eye out for you. I seen you had a secret admirer."
"Oh that's nothing.", Candy replied with a wave of her her.
Mikey pointed at what she carried, "Then what's that about?"
Candy looked down at the basket she carried in her one hand that full of treats.
"It's candy. No reason in letting it go to waste."
Mikey chuckled and shook his head.
"I guess they don't call you the Sweet Treat for nothing."
"Nope.", she responded all smiles, "It doesn't matter you, does it?"
"Naaaah. Why would it when I've got the real thing? Still, any ideas who it could be?"
"No one comes to mind at the moment. I guess I'll have to give it some thought.", she shrugged, "In the meantime, how about we go out for that ice-cream?"
"You've been eating sweets all night, darlin'."
"Sooooooo...."
It is now that Candy would pout.
"So, you need dinner first."
The pout quickly returned into a smile as she kissed his cheek and raced around to the passenger side of the car. Candy didn't want to scare him off with her driving, so she'd let him handle it..for now. Once they were both inside, Mikey drove off to end the scene.

Off Camera
A few days later, we see the treat basket sitting on the kitchen table of her apartment. Right now, Candy is leaning down onto the table with her elbows as she studied the note she held between her two hands.
-To A Sweet Girl,
Here is a Sweet Treat!-
She still didn't know who it was from. Truth was, it could be just about anyone. It could be one of her friends trying to be cute. It could be one of the people Ashleigh introduced her to up her return. It could even be from one of the new faces on the roster. Hell, it could even be from Devlin Scott himself. Then again, maybe not on the last one. The boss seemed like the kinda guy to take the credit for something like that. I mean, he hasn't been shy about stocking her locker room with lollipops. So, it probably wasn't him. But what about the rest? She still wasn't sure.
Candy sighed and put the note back in the basket before walking away. The answer would come out in time. It always did.

Once again we see the basket of treats someone had given Candy. Only this time not only has it's location but it's now half empty. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Candy might have gotten hungry over the past couple of days.
"Still can't figure out who it's from, but whoever sent it to me...I just want to say thank you. It was awfully 'sweet' of you. As we all know, I do like my candy."
Candy is heard giggling as the cameras begin to pan out. Showing off the Sweet Treat as she sat on the couch of her apartment with Rebel's head in her lap. On the wall behind her, is the huge wall size poster of Adam Lambert she bought recently. She stroked the Boston Terrier's head as she went about speaking.
"But enough about that for now. I'm sure my admirer will show his face when he's ready. In the meantime, I have a big match coming up at City of Sin that needs to be addressed."
The blonde Pixie paused.
"Now before we get down to the nitty gritty, I just want to say congratulations to AM3 on becoming the Marquee Champion. It was a great moment to come back to. I know how hard he worked to reach the top of the division. Even when he was knocked down, Avery kept coming back. He refused to give up. Not only do I respect him for all the hard work and effort he's put in, but I am proud to call him the champion."
Candy said in all sincerity as she went on.
"However, even in saying that...that still doesn't mean I don't want the Marquee Championship for myself. Sorry Avery, it is what it is. But I didn't come back to New Generation Wrestling to take a backseat to anyone. I will do whatever it takes to walk out of City of Sin with the gold around my waist. Don't get me wrong, I know that's not going to be easy. Like he said, the Marquee title has been like a hot potato. That's never a good thing in this business. Every title should have meaning. So I don't blame Avery for wanting to give it stability. I know Avery will be doing whatever he can to stop me. But I'll be ready."
She leaned in closer to the camera looking completely focused.
"You see Avery, I listened to your speech and I gotta say I was kinda inspired. It made me realize something. That you aren't the only one who can get redemption. I remember that loss I suffered at your hands. I don't like it. Not because you didn't earn it or there was any foul play involved. I'm not about to make any excuses. It was just a bad night for me. Things didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. But just like you did against Levi, I have every intention of bouncing back with a victory over you at City of Sin."
Candy relaxed back in her seat and continued as she absentmindedly stroked the dog's head.
"I know you're confident in that not happening. Can't say I blame you. I mean, you're the one that's been here doing your thing. Probably feel at the top of your game. Like no one can bring you down. But one way or another, I'm going to have to. I don't want to be doing this same dance months down the line. No offense to you. I think our matches are absolutely great. But I don't want to be stuck in some rut. I want to keep my career moving forward. I'm sure you can understand that. So I hope you can keep those no ill feelings toward me in the future. I don't want to make an enemy out of you."
Candy shuddered slightly at the thought.
"I really like you, Avery. I don't want to be the one to hurt you. I know how important this title reign is to you. But I still gotta do what I gotta do to take that Marquee Championship from you.", she sighed, "Within reason, of course."
Candy paused as she collected her thoughts for a moment.
"I know all about living in Las Vegas. Granted, I haven't been here in the past six years. But I'm sure it still works the same. The temptation is always there to live a little dangerously. God knows I did for awhile. You see plenty of things when you're a stripper. But that lifestyle has long since passed me, Avery. So you really have nothing to worry about. I am not here to cut any corners. Should I win, I don't want the victory tainted in any way, shape, or fashion. I want to stand tall with that belt raised high and know that I've earned it."
Candy said in all seriousness.
"That's the kinda moment I am looking for. As it is, I can practically taste it.", she licked her lips, "Just because I was away didn't mean I had forgotten. The longer I was gone, the more hungrier I became for it. So when the time came for me to leave Cheyanne, I knew where I wanted to be...I knew where to come. I had left some unfinished business here. It was only fitting that I return. And now that I'm here...it's time to finish it."
Candy's eyes were fixated on the camera before her.
"It's time for us to make history once again. My moment awaits..."
Candy reached out and took one of the candies from the basket and popped it in her mouth once again silently thanking whoever had given her the treats. As she got up from the couch to walk away, Rebel followed Candy out of view to end the scene.
