In an effort to keep up with all things NGW and related to the roster, we have received the following report:
Corey Bull, NGW wrestler, has announced his ownership of the SFL Women's Arena Football team the Calgary Cutthroats and had this to say at a press conference in Calgary:
"As many of you know, we are still currently a wrestler, at this time in New Generation Wrestling. But, the future is something we look at with a serious mind. When it came to building Dead Cell Inc, a name based off of one of our wrestling groups from the past, we wanted something that worked towards making the world a better place to live in. So we focused on renewable resources. Currently, DCI is looking into other ventures to expand our portfolio. But this....this is something we really wanted to do. In the world of wretling, women have already proven that they are the equals of men. They go out there week after week and put everything they have into it...just like men. So why not in professional football? It was with this in mind that we decided to purchase the Calgary Cutthroats. Calgary itself is a strong wrestling town with a long history in the business. The famous Harts are from Calgary. We felt this was the perfect place to make that step forward in women's arena football. Most importantly, we want this to be an opportunity for women to stand up out of the shadow so many people place them in and show the world just what they are capable of doing. We look forward to the coming season. We are currently looking through free agency and other avenues to start adding members to our roster. We have been in talks as to what would be the best offense and defense to run in this particular setting. We also look forward to the draft. We would like to wish our competition good luck...and lets make this Canadian league something special. Ladies and gentlemen, women's arena football has come to Calgary and it is going to be a great success."
