Birch stated as he sighed, looking down from his sunglasses as he considered things. It was the beginning of an uphill battle, a battle he was fully aware of how much he would need to do to actually succeed in.
ETHAN BIRCH: "If I beat Hayden Phoenix, if I beat Gemini.. I get what I want. I receive the championship match I desire at a later date. And – that's a lot to take in, really it is. It could all be mine, with one win.. And all the same, with one win, all of that could go away before my very eyes. That's a whole hell of a lot to think about, to be honest. It's a tough position to be in to know that one mistake could fuck you right out of the running of everything you've been trying to achieve. But all the same.. I will succeed, and I will become the NGSE Heavyweight Champion in the not so distant future.. Mark my words."
Ethan spoke proudly, he spoke as if he knew what was going to happen before it even happened. He was no seer of the future or anything of the sort, but he had one subject he was passionate about. Wrestling. Just like anyone else.
ETHAN BIRCH: "And just like that.. it's not 'if I beat' them. It's when. When I beat them, when I beat you Hayden.. and when I beat you, Gemini? I'm going to walk away from this contest with the full clarity, the full knowledge of the fact that neither of you were the best on this night. Neither of you were the men determined to hold the very fate of this company in their hands.. It was me. And it was always meant to be me. This though? It's all just the beginning. It's all just the calm before the storm, because the name Ethan Birch.. the Outlaw himself.. He's going to take your championship.."
He paused as he looked into the camera, a rather serious look across his face as he peered directly into it. He spoke eloquently, calm as if he had been plotting all of this out for quite sometime.
ETHAN BIRCH: "I'm going to take everything you have, everything you can offer. And if you don't offer it? I'll rise up and snatch it right out of your grasps anyway because it's simply within my powers to do so. And you will all sit down and like it. You will all accept that Ethan Birch? He's your present and future, and you will damn well kneel at my feet. Or you will succumb to the various consequences that come from that.. Do you understand?"
He had to prove just how little of a chance they had.. How little of a chance that all of them had. And if that meant talking them all down, showing them just how low they really were? Then screw it, he'd do it and like it.
ETHAN BIRCH: "How does it feel though guys? Knowing that it's all about to be snapped up before you even get a chance to lay a hand on well.. anything really? It's all going away. Everything you want, everything you're dreaming of ascending to get here in NGSE? It's all just that far out of reach, and no matter how high you climb. No matter how far you go, no matter what you do.. You will never, ever reach Ethan Birch. You will never get to me."
Ethan stood up and looked into the camera, his grin widening as he prepared to add one final bit of information into this promo. Then? Who knew?
ETHAN BIRCH: "Who knows? Maybe you'll all get your chance.. someday.. when Rhya and I are done with this place.."
And with that, Ethan retained a smile across his lips as the scene came to a close. Leaving his intentions rather clear. He intended to walk in that door, and he intended to dominate the company. Whether he would do it, or not? That was really anyones guess.. Never the less, we'd finally heard from Ethan Birch. And it seemed very much like the man was on his game on this day. Could the same be said for everyone else, though?![/ul]
