'The Revolution will be Televised.'

[Fade in to Leo Casablancas in a darkened alley, collars up, smoking away into the cool breeze of the night.]
Leo: And so it has begun. The City was lit on fire, and it was I who ignited it. I told you what was coming, and it duly came to pass.
The revolution is coming, NGSE. It will be televised, it will be big, and will rock the foundations with which this house was built upon. If you want the apples to fall you have to give the tree a shake. The revolution will not be an apple that falls once it becomes ripe, you have to make it fall for itself. I made my call and my voice was heard. Charlie and TJ are the smart ones. And they'll be rewarded for their intelligence.
I know you're all wondering, what will I do with you all? With power at my finger tips I can make your lives hell for one night only. Maybe I will. Maybe I won't. Some will be more fortunate than others. Some will have opportunities of a lifetime, some will get their just deserts.
Rob Smith could have made life easier for himself. His journey here in NGSE could have taken a different path. If he so wished I would have carried him with me to the top of the mountain. But no, he wants to make life difficult for himself. So be it, Rob Smith, so be it.
Where was your God in Chicago? Where was he you needed him most? I am God here in NGSE, and we are taking over this place. We will we create mayhem, chaos and brilliance all at once. When we have done this we will step back and we will see that it was good. This place is awash with mediocrity. Talentless jobbers that don't deserve to lace the boots of the few great wrestlers amongst us. I defy anyone to stand in our way. I defy anyone to oppose the Motor City Monster on his path of destruction. I defy anyone to go toe to toe with the beast that is Charlie Ngatai as he works his way to the summit. Cha, bro, cha.
Rob Smith may be a god-fearing man, but that holds no power in this ring. In my ring. You see this is my ring now. This is my house. I didn't build it, but I am remoulding it in my image. Not in the image of Devlin Scott. My image. Rob you may choose to live your life by a book that was written thousands of years before you were born, but these lines you spout, this bile that spills from your mouth carry no relevance with me. I don't let anyone guide me, least of all a book of fictitious parrabals. Charlie Ngatai and TJ McDaniels didn't need guidance or false prophets. They think for themselves. They did what was right for them. The first duty of a man is to think for himself, and if you can't do that, you don't deserve to call yourself a man.
The greatest and most powerful revolutions often start very quietly, hidden in the shadows. Remember that. I emerged, triumphant and superior. Above you, Rob Smith, above the much revered and highly decorated Pimp D, above the so called beast that is John Bane, above everyone.
I may not have done it in a way that appeased everyone, but I did it what was necessary. TJ did what was necessary. Charlie did what was necessary. If you want to rebel, rebel from inside the system. It's the only way. The Revolution will introduce you all to art, to the great minds and wrestlers of this generation or any other, and in turn, art will introduce you to the Revolution. If you're with me, make yourselves heard. I will make you a success. I will take you with me to the top. If not your fate awaits you, starting next week, when I am King for a Day.
Our strategy should be not only to be confront the empire, but to lay siege to it. To deprive it of oxygen. To shame it. To mock it. With our brilliance, our sheer relentlessness – and our ability to destroy those that lay before us, or against us. We will create history, and our story will be told for generations. Stories that are different from the ones we’re being brainwashed to endure right now. Stories like the so called underdog, John Carter, being hand-picked jobbers to face each and every week until you believe he is worthy if your cheers. Stories like the dark and mysterious Carmine Reaper, dull and loathsome in his demeanour. He doesn't fight for you, he fights for himself. He doesn't like you, the fans, as he remains bound to his bedroom weeping and mourning for a world where he can be accepted.
I ask you all to think about what you want to be here in NGSE. Do you want to be the best there is? Do you believe you already are? Then join the revolution. This isn't about camaraderie. This is about the self. Destroying the false prophets that are held up to the light and celebrated when they deserve nothing more than to burn in the fire we have created. People like John Carter, Carmine Reaper, Pimp D, and Keg. The chosen few that are unjustly lauded by the fans, by the media, and by Devlin Scott.
Devlin Scott is nothing more than a capitalist heathen, brainwashing the fans of the Five Lakes with his wishy-washy, dumbed down brand of no-hopers. It's time to stand up and show who the real talent is here. Guys like TJ McDaniels should be challenging for the Heavyweight Title, not Hayden Phoenix, not Pimp D. When Charlie Ngatai becomes Five Lakes Champion he should be carried aloft upon the shoulders of the people of these states. But he won't be. And that's why he mocks you, that's why he calls it the 'Quack Quack' Title. But you would rather cheer a drunk like Keg, or a no-hoper like John Carter. That's exactly what Devlin Scott wants you to do. His corporate system will collapse if we refuse to buy what they are selling – their ideas, their notion of inevitability.
Remember this: We be few and they be many. Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing. It won't be easy. A revolution is not a bed of roses. A revolution is a struggle between the future and the past. This is just the beginning, but what's coming will be huge. Even the strongest blizzards start with a single snowflake.
So to John William Kingsley, to Tim Stone, to John Bane, to Alioth Starre, even to Rob Smith, once the dust has settled, if you want to show the rest of NGSE why you are better than the over-hyped impersonators, come join the Revolution. When I book the card you may be duly compensated for your wise decisions. But with or without you the winds of change are coming to NGSE. It has begun, I have spoken, and I'm Leo Casablancas, and I always get what I want!
[Fade out.]
